To provide support, process and document administration to the Buyer in procuring the goods &/or services to drive sustainable savings in a manner supportive of operations and preferential procurement targets.

Degree or Diploma, in Procurement, Purchasing Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management, Commerce, Economics or related and relevant qualification

• Minimum of 1 years Buying/Procurement experience
• Minimum of 3 years International Travel experience would be an advantage.
Job Specification
• Assist with the maintenance of an efficient and comprehensive vendor base in Oracle that can meet customer needs timeously, reliably, with the appropriate quality and in a manner supportive of preferential procurement imperatives
• Assist with the review of the vendor base against diagnosed customer requirements to ensure a holistic offering
• Assist in identification of opportunities for Enterprise Development
• Comprehensively capture specifications for procurement of good/service, comprehensively brief suppliers and ensure need is comprehensively met by the procured good/service
• Conclude effective supplier negotiations in consultation with the Buyer
• Calculate, track and document savings achieved
• Identify and evaluate potential vendors for low value buys in an equitable manner with due consideration for preferential procurement imperatives
• Administer request for information/quotation/proposal processes in accordance with good governance imperatives and Woolworths’ Non-Trade Procurement Policy
• Maintain thorough records pertaining to vendor appointment and terms of engagement
• Administer the conclusion of contracts with appointed vendors
• Support seamless vendor transition
• Issue and deliver orders timeously and ensure orders are delivered by vendors to meet customer requirements
